No strollers on Saturday at the Oktoberfest
On Saturdays and on public holidays (October 3rd) buggies and pushchairs are not allowed all day, on the other days only until 6 p.m.
The 10 golden Oktoberfest rules
Be sure to take it with you:
- Cash – usually you can’t pay with credit card on the festival site
(There are ATMs on the premises – but you don’t want to queue up there. Really. You don’t want that.) - ID Card (In Germany it’s required by law to have an ID card with you.)
- Mobile phone (Be sure to fully charge it so that you can reach your friends if needed.)
- Good shoes (So that the evening is not over when someone steps on your feet or there is a broken glass on the floor.)
- Warm Jacket (Oktober in Munich can be nice and sunny, but when the sun is gone, it gets fresh.)
If needed:
- Small bag (maximum 3 liters and 20x15x10 cm are allowed)
- Public transport ticket
- Tissues
- Sunglasses
- Band Aid (Never trust your supposedly comfortable shoes)
- KATWARN-App (provides prompt information about any security messages)
This stays at home:
- Bulky or dangerous items
- Backpacks and bags with a capacity of more than 3 liters (luggage can be stored, for example, at the central station or at the entrances to the festival site)
- Glass bottles
- Any kind of spray cans (even deodorant or hairspray)
- Animals / Pets
